1Kid is on spring break this week. His dad just dropped him off to spend the day at my house, and, of all things, HE CALLED ME to let me know he was at my house.
Now, this is a little thing, but I asked him, as I always do, to let me know he is now at my house, but he NEVER does on his own, and I usually have to call him. Today was a first! I told him I was very proud of him, he should be very proud of all the hard work he’s been doing, and that things may be starting to come together for him, and this is one way it is showing, in his memory of his responsibilities. I told him this is what the therapy is supposed to do. He sounded very excited. I also reminded him, since he was worried that his life would get *so much harder* that didn’t it feel good to remember something on his own? (Yes!) Do you think this might make your life easier instead of harder? (YES!)
