Observations of Sports

Do ADHD'ers understand the rules of sports? 1Kid seems to understand the rules of sports, but I never see him in phys ed class, I wouldn't really know how or if he fully knows what's going on. I know I don't! He understands football when he sees it on TV. I have heard, but don't know if this suits every ADHD'er, that they may fit better in personally individual competitive activities, rather than team sports. 1Kid was in softball a few years back, and didn't seem to really "get it," just by my observation. He likes track though, as he is on his own. I always did dance classes, speech class, and band stuff, and felt I had a niche there, and feel there is real value in those activities for personal achievement if the team sports are not their thing! This is even one thing I am noticing too, with his exercises, is that I see that personal competition going on with himself more now, especially as they are getting harder. Blap if he is going to let the edge of that wobble board touch the ground!!!
